You will marvel at the magnificent Andes and deep glacier-cut river valleys running through some of the only temperate rain forests in all of South America. Fantastic fly fishing for rainbow and brown trout, as well as three salmon species is as exciting as the stunningly scenic surroundings in this special eco-region of Chile. Rainbow trout, brown trout, and several species of salmon are always in season, which is mid-November through mid-April -- and that's just the fresh water fishing. Most fishing is catch-and-release, but some fish may be kept to be eaten fresh that day.

You will need to bring your own fishing gear. It's an easy 4-wheel drive to most fishing sites, or you can just cast into the "savage" section of the Rio Negro from your own backyard at Rio Salvaje Lodge. From isolated mountain streams to secret sites
